Counting Events for each Individual Championship

There will be a maximum number of rides that can count towards each competition and this will be based only on the number of events that take place during the year. Events that are cancelled are not included when deciding the maximum number of rides that can count.

For each individual competition the maximum number of rides that count for each rider will be the lowest whole number in excess of half of the total number of events that take place during the season. This would mean: 6 rides when 10 events take place, 5 rides when 9 and 8 events take place, 4 rides when 7 and 6 events take place, 3 rides when 5 events take place etc.

For example: if 10 events were planned during the season but one event was cancelled then a maximum of 5 rides would count towards each competition (not 6 rides because only 9 events took place not 10).

There will be a minimum number of rides required for each competition and this will be based upon the number of events that take place during the year. For each individual competition the minimum number of rides will be the lowest number in excess of a third of the total number of events that take place during the season.

This would mean 4 rides when 11,10 or 9 events take place. 3 rides when 8, 7 or 6 events take place, 2 rides when 5, 4 or 3 rides take place and 1 ride when 2 or 1 events take place.
